when your photoshoot goes wrong

sky clouds and water shot in hoschton georgia Ever go shoot some photography and have everything go wrong? That happened to me the other night. I went out scouting for a few new locations for myself and a photographer friend. What I found was a great set of really barren fields in Hoscthon Georgia.

It was late in the day with some building clouds so I decided to shoot some with my 210mm and the rest with a kit lens. Now the 210 is an older lens that only  works in manual. I kept shooting photos messing with exposure with this lens not figuring out why the shots kept coming out so dark.

Next I went to another field and shot some stuff with the kit lens and wondered why it was all so light. Very frustrating! It wasn’t until I got home that I realized I had left the camera in P mode for the manual lens, and had increased the exposure to try and compensate. Then, when I went to the auto lens I left the exposure too high, over exposing everything.

I guess when your shoot starts going downhill… it never stop till it hits bottom.
