I just finished my new photobook Parts – the automobile simplified.

Over the past couple of years I’ve attended my share of car shows for my teenage son. Who, incidentally is a car nut and feels the need to visit every little car show he can find within a fifty mile radius.

Personally, I’ve never had an affinity for cars. I’ve always views it as more of a utility rather than a crafted machine. Which as you might expect, made car shows a bit of a chore for someone like me. So, instead of focusing on the whole automobile in these shots I’ve paid more attention to the various parts of the vehicle.

Focusing on various elements of the car like, the door handle, windows, trim, grill etc. I’m really interested on how these parts weather and become altered through exposure to the elements, accidents and man made changes. Below is a sample of the images you will find in the book. I hope you enjoy them.
