light tent

I built a light tent a few months back. Mainly because we we’re getting some much flippin’ rain that I couldn’t get outside. Also, because it just sounded like fun.

So this light tent is pretty much based on the plans you can find on strobist.com. I made a few adjustments of my own, but you can see some examples of shots look in my gallery.

So far I’ve built two. One smaller box with a black backdrop, and a larger that is white. I plan to build a third with a plexiglass bottom that I can shine light through.

I use two clamp lights, one on each sight and usually just a light from above for the third. Make sure to set you white balance to tungsten to get the blue out.
