Winder Georgia Capitol building at night

Photography of Winder Georgia capitol building at night.

We took a quick trip up to Winder Georgia for some night photography last week. See more dark and night photography.

I’ve taken photographs at night in Winder before. And in the summer it gets so dang hot here in the south thats its the only real time you can take pictures with any relief. I’ve got to say though, I’ve never felt so paranoid before when taking night photogprahy here.

The town has fallen on hard times like a lot of rural towns due to the economic slump the U.S. is in. And it just felt meaner, and gritty that in the past. The roads were very quiet, almost like only us walked the sidewalk. The only cars I really saw  most of the time were cop cars prowling the roads looking for a ticket to dispense. I worried several  times that I would be their target, just because I was visible.
